Vinegar and Baking Soda Project!
I'm sure most people already know about this awesome experiment but I thought I would just go ahead and write about it anyway because well its awesome! So besides all the magical things baking soda and vinegar can do on their own and together, they also make great kids experiments!
Here is a great website that will give you some insight into the
wonderful world of baking soda as well, http://www.care2.com/greenliving/51-fantastic-uses-for-baking-soda.html?page=1
What you need:
Baking soda
Vinegar
Food Coloring
Dropper
Shallow dish
4 or so little cups ( I use old play dough containers)
What to do:
Sprinkle baking soda into bottom of shallow dish.
Fill each small cup with vinegar
Put a couple drops of food coloring into each cup (red in one, green in another, blue, etc.)
Fill dropper with colored vinegar
Disperse into baking soda and watch your kids be amazed!
Continue on until you run out of baking soda and then add more baking soda and repeat.
Hope you and your children enjoy this project!
Happy Experimenting!

Ab circuit!
Well its almost summer and you know what that means……It’s time to get those abs in check. Here is an abs routine sure to make your middle burn like the rice you made yesterday then forgot about…
Do 4 sets of each exercise and if you really want a burn do them as a super set. Meaning you do each exercise in a row then rest and repeat.
If you are a beginner try starting out with 7-10 reps of each set with a short break between each set.
Hanging leg lifts (if you do not have a bar do lying leg lifts or crazy 8’s) x 15
Russian Twists x 20
Bicycle crunches x 20
Jack knife x 20
Reverse crunch x 20
Happy burning!

Cardio Circuit!
Did someone say cardio? I happen to have a love hate relationship with cardio. Some days I just want to run, jump and tabata my pretty little heart out and other days I pretend I have never heard of such word. However cardio happens to be especially good for your health, it improves circulation, strengthens your heart and lungs and it also offers an array of health benefits. This being said lets get started on our cardio workout of the day!
30 jumping jacks
30 jumping lunges (15 each leg)
Rest 20 sec.
15 burpees
15 mountain climbers
Rest 20 sec.
10 squat jumps
10 tuck jumps
Rest 20 sec.
Repeat as many times as you can, if you can only do it 1x then next time try for two and so on.
Remember to drink lots of water and stretch!
Happy Sweating!

Powder sugar explosion!
Disclaimer: If your wanting to keep your child and your kitchen clean this probably isn’t the activity for you, but if your down for having a longer clean up time then the actual project please read on…..
So one day I was cooking and my daughter was sitting there wanting to get it on the action, however I wasn’t particularly doing anything she could help so I decided to find something that would make her happy and make her feel like she was helping sort of.. Thus I broke out the powder sugar, bowls, and measuring cups and she had quite a good time.
So basically what you need is:
Powder Sugar
Mixing Bowls
Measuring Cups
Pour some powder sugar into each bowl and stand back :) This last time we had a powder sugar explosion it eventually turned into a food fight which was fun but messssssssssssy! Any who it cleans up well and sure to make awesome memories for the kiddos!
You can also place the powder sugar on a cookie sheet and practice writing letters or making shapes in the sugar!
Happy Playing!
-Ashley
